K'naan Wins Juno's Artist of The Year, Songwriter of the Year

K'naan Abdi Warsame, the Somali international Artist won the Juno Artist of the Year 2010, the Songwriter of the Year 2010 and was nominated for the Rap Recording of the Year.

The young talented Rapper/poet is getting noticed by the Canadian Music industry. K'naan won two out of three nominations as he collected the Junos for Artist of the Year 2010 and the Songwriter of the Year 2010. Amazing how things turn for the best when they do. His 'Waving Flag' song is the offical Anthem for the FIFA World Cup 2010. There are several versions of Waving flag and many international artists are singing the song which is now known around the world as an inspirational song.

My Take on K'naan's Success at 2010 Juno

Please allow me to congratulate the Somali artist K'naan on his success at the Juno Awards this year 2010. Winning one award is not easy but winning Artist of the Year and Songwriter of the Year (both prestigeous awards) shows how well he is getting noticed in the Canadian music scene! I hope this translates to incoming wealth for him. He is the poor country's only shining star!

I can't wait for the world cup so I can watch the opening act! "Waving Flag" as it is the Official FIFA 2010 World Cup anthem.
