Simba News web site Hijacked

Simba News, a very popular Somali News web site operating straight from Mogadishu has its web site Hijacked by anonymous hackers. It appears that simbanews.com is displaying pop ups opening third party web sites without the knowledge of the web masters of this high traffic web site.

Basically, when you open a news article on the front page of Simba News, the article loads. In addition one or two more new web browser instances open up on your screen with web sites you normally would not visit. Some times the pages include perfpot-com which is not a very suitable web site for Simba News audience.

I am not sure when the web masters of this Popular Somali News web site will take notice of this, but I hope it does not cause problems for the Somali readers that came to read the news, but find inappropriate pop ups.
